Within the fair land of Albion the shadow of undeath has sat heavily upon the Ten Realms for what seems like an eternity. Yet finally the heralds have spread long awaited news everywhere; the Lich is destroyed.
Vengeance in Solkar’s name has been served, and the creature’s undying spirit vanquished.
Ankow’s Droll has ended.
Still… many scars remain.
Within the bounds of the Realm of Oxford, hordes of restless, shambling undead yet haunt its people.
Rumours abound that not all the Lich’s servants where slain, for foul Necromantic workings are still felt, and a memory lingers in the minds of the war host of a dark sorceress, present on the field of battle yet not counted among the bodies of the fallen.
The hamlet of Nettlebed lies close to the borders of the great Isle of Albion and the land of its Painted Cousins the Fir Cruthen. Locals have reported encountering the Blighted, no longer merely shambling but moving with purpose.
The Great Hall of the hamlet stands ready as a place to rally and investigate these rumours. A place for the war host to gather. A place for Oxford’s nobility to be called to action, or to Justice. That is, assuming any have survived… Murderous intent abounds; still more nobles have been found laying dead, far from the fields of battle.
Moreover, it is not only the final notes in this necromantic song that can be heard on the wind.
The brave people of Albion speak of seeing Knights heralded by the symbol of the Dragon making their way into Oxford’s heart.
Like the reflections of true knights in a shattered mirror, what implications does their appearance have for both Albion and the war host? What shadows move alongside them as they travel the paths?
What bearing on Pax Britannica will it have, what tales will the Bards sing, and what will the Druids bear witness to when folk gather under the eaves of Elvesham forest in battle-worn Nettlebed?
Who will stand against these Evils that converge on Oxford?
