The Gods of Law are a pantheon of deities revered across Albion. Their teachings and guidance form the central beliefs of the way of life in Albion. They encourage personal development and improvement, favouring those who devote their lives to a good cause, helping others and working for a better and more just society.
To the people of Albion, the Gods are distant entities who do not walk the earth or directly interact with mortals. Instead they act to influence and inspire people to achieve greatness through their own acts. For most people the Gods serve as an epitome to which to aspire, the pinnacle of what one could hope to achieve through service, kindly acts or personal toil. The Gods recognize that everyone is unique and flawed and many will fail to help themselves and others. Even the smallest achievement may bring great rewards if it is undertaken with the right intentions. Trying and failing is better in their eyes than not having tried in the first instant.
Across the land of Albion the Gods of Law are worshipped and seen in many different ways. There are numerous theological viewpoints over the nature of the Gods and their plans for the people of Albion. Some may identify with specific aspects of a God, interpreting their teachings in ways that may seem odd to others. It must be remembered however, that the Gods of Law and the principles for which they stand form the core of Albion society.
The High Monarch
It is a common, indeed nearly universal, belief that the High Monarch is chosen to lead Albion under the auspices of the Gods of Law. They are often attributed with considerable powers due to a ‘special connection’ to the Gods, though some of these attestations seem to lean more toward fancy rather than reality. In the common view, the Lady of the Lake is seen as a form of angelic intermediary, whilst the blade Excalibur is seen as an evident link between the High Monarch, the land of Albion and the Gods.
The current High Monarch is High King Rudraigh Penhaligon.
Rudraigh Penhaligon was given his Excalibur by the Lady of the Lake, or Genevieve as the Cornish know her by, on the Isle of Anwyn in the spring of 1018. Since then his rule has been one of Law, fitting for a man who, for the sake of justice, once acted as advocate to Verlaine, the carnage witch of Cornwall and his sworn enemy.

The Champion of Law
Where the High King is seen as a link to the Gods, the Champion is the closest a mortal can come to their representative. They are the epitome of what it is to follow the Gods’ teachings to the fullest. With the voices of the Gods beckoning them ever forward, the Champion will be found at the forefront at the fight against evil and chaos, whether that fight be spiritual, physical or mental. In order to fortify them, it is believed the Gods bestow upon the Champion great powers and even greater responsibilities.
The current Champion of Law is Syr Ailah Acceleus.
Syr Ailah Acceleus took up the mantle of Champion after the battlefield death of her mentor and friend, Teagan Patrixbourne. Forged in fire and blood on the anvil of Cornwall's war against the druid and the old Gods, she looks to her friends in the warhost and the Septem to keep her gentle and remind her of her mortality.

The Septem
The Champion of Law may choose to appoint a Septem should they wish, to advise on important matters of a religious nature. These seven individuals will often act as extensions of the Champion, performing duties within the warhost that range from ceremony to confession. Each Septem member is an exemplar of one of the Gods, and together they help to keep the Champion balanced.
